Is this event ever to end????
I wonder if this event will ever end? It was stated that it would end at noon PDT which is now past by a fair bit of time.
I mean if they encounter any problems updating or misstyped in their message they could be at least so nice and post something in the news section on their website. That wouldn't be asked too much imo.
Oh well anyways - hope they manage to set it back to 8 vs 8 soon

I bet its 'sneaky update' they never informed anyone about, and double fame and everything else will going to stay . Very anet style.

Ya, I've been wondering the same thing cuz when i got on today it was still 6man and its past Noon PDT. Right now i'm thinking that their either slow on updating it back to 8man or their just evil in making it vimway heaven still >.>

Yeah, Anet has been known to do things like this before (Extreme PvP weekend).
Personaly, I hope it stays this way. It allows new strategies and tactics to be developed. HA is now actualy a fun individual gametype instead of gimped out GvG

I hope they switch it back to 6v6.
8v8 is pretty horrible and in my opinion really promotes bad players to think they are good by vimming (or some other stupid gimmick) to rank 9.
It's so much easier to be bad in 8v8...

So how do you explain every PvE noob this weekend doing vimway to get fame and rank they don't deserve?
Of course it's much easier to be bad in 8v8, but it's also more challenging, more complex and more anti noobies. Honestly there's bunch of IWAY and VIMway all the time in HA. But this weekend, it was horrible. I know people that have never pvp'd in their life that got to rank 3 just doing vimway, in my book that's really unfair. IWAY and Vimway are fun but by no means it should get your rank up so fast. At least with 8v8 you take a little longer and it's harder. Which means that you adquire skill in the process.

Personally, I made about 300+ fame a day, and i wasnt playing vim.
In all honestly, I cant see vim beating anything but vim or noobs. In fact, against any of my teams, vim matches averaged 48s long.
Ah well, its back to opp gaze spiking for me, 3.. 2.. 1.. good one, next target....

Couldn't have said it better myself. If this weekend would have been a permanent change for HA, i'm sorry, I would have quit HA altogether. Personally, I think its ridiculous that half of my r6+ pugs were getting constantly rolled by unranked vims. If this weekend would have stayed, soon you would start seeing R8/9++ ViMs and ViM Phoenixes. How lame is that?
